CPR - American Red Cross
Designed for individuals with a duty to respond to emergencies, this program combines discussions, video and hands-on training. Real-life rescue scenarios reinforce decision-making skills. Free quarterly refreshers. The course covers how to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies in adults, children, and infants until more advanced medical personnel take over. Topics include:
- Primary assessment
- Ventilation (incl. use of CPR breathing barriers and use of BVMs)
- Choking (incl. conscious and unconscious)
- CPR (incl. one- and two-rescuer) AED
- Optional training in the use of epinephrine auto-injectors and asthma inhalers available Course length: Approximately 5.5 hours. 2-year certification If you are applying for a Dental Board Exam they only accept American Red Cross or American Heart Association
