Service Description
This course will include classroom and supervised clinical training. The participant will be required to pass a written, and clinical examination. Manikin practice is essential. Each participant must provide two (2) clinical exam patients. A backup patient is recommended. A dentist or hygienist must screen all patients and deemed free of calculus and heavy stains and no serious health issues before the clinical exam. Proof of Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR): All participants involved in the direct provision of patient care must be certified in basic life support procedures, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Re-certification intervals may not exceed two years. Completion of an 8-hour infection control course and 2 hours of the Dental Practice Act. The procedure is limited to the removal of plaque and stains from exposed tooth surfaces, using an appropriate rotary instrument with a rubber cup, brush, and a polishing agent under direct supervision. All supplies are provided. We even supply the slow speed handpieces at no additional cost! You do not have to be an RDA to take this course. You will receive your certificate upon successful completion on the day of the course final. Photography Photographing, recording, or videotaping any Dental Specialties Institute's program is not allowed without advance written permission. SB
